Description of Duties:
Design & develop system architectures for complex Electronic Warfare training systems. Duties will include:
- Establish technical requirements for specific user needs.
- Create functional Block Diagrams for complex integrated systems.
- Develop detailed electrical, mechanical and software interface descriptions.
- Evaluate and select vendor products and technologies for specific applications.
- Develop performance specifications for vendor or subcontractor supplied equipment.
- Develop detailed concepts of operation
- Assist Project Engineer by providing technical oversight, establishing engineering schedules and maintaining engineering budgets.
- Maintain liaison with engineering staff and direct lower level analysis on technology specific efforts.
- Support system development by assisting with contract design reviews, selecting and evaluating hardware, and reviewing and approving engineering documentation.
- Contribute to system design by developing equipment performance specifications and supplier or subcontractor Statements of Work.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum: Ten plus years performing system engineering functions on complex programs involving integration of leading edge technologies. Must have thorough understanding of industry standard serial interfaces, power distribution, electrical/electronic interfacing and good mechanical aptitude.
Desired: Previous related experience with Electronic Warfare training ranges and equipment. Direct experience with high power pulsed and CW radar transmitters, closed-loop servo systems, VME computer architecture, microwave communications equipment, and high power RF.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum: BS Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent related field.
Desired: MS or similar advanced degree. Graduate studies in modeling and simulation, or electro-optical studies.
Other:
US Citizenship required. Successful candidate shall hold or be able to have granted a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Applicants must have strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multitasking skills.
We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, all employees work 80 hours in 9 days and have every other Friday off.
