Job Responsibilities TASC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. This position requires an individual to be part of an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operation considerations. The systems engineer will be part of team that analyzes user requirements, concept of operation documents and high level system architectures to develop system requirements. Position requires an individual that can interact with the customer regarding System Engineering technical considerations and make recommendations on associated problems, issues or conflicts.

Identify strengths and shortfalls of current development efforts and assist with developing tasking for Framework development organizations. Identify critical technology issues; develop plans to address these issues such as manpower requirements, software required, and integration timelines. will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate requirements into system specifications.
  • Have strong background and experience with tactical RF SIGINT collection and processing systems, passive and active. Familiar with current COTS and GOTS radio technology, software defined radios, and antenna systems. Familiarity with the development, test integration of RF SIGINT systems on airborne and vehicle based platforms. Familiarization with cellular and wireless (802.11x) air interface highly desirable.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews.
  • Familiarization with and direct experience developing and testing software operational user GUIs. The ability to capture various and diverse customer interface requirements and develop plans and schedules to meet testing and operational deadlines.
  • Experience developing plans, tradeoff assessments and specific capability requirements for size, weight and power.
  • Experience working with customers’ requirements and expectations to develop and document concept of operations (CONOPS) test plans, risk assessments, interface documents, system architectures and development schedules.
  • Experience supporting rapid development and prototyping methodologies in support of QRC mission requirements and accelerated development schedules.
