Systems Engineer

AMS Legal is an 11 year old software company that is consistently recognized as the leader in providing web-based document security systems to law firms and corporate legal departments.  Our business is stable, mature, and enjoys a healthy growth rate of satisfied clients each year.  We are seeking a Systems Engineer who brings talent and enthusiasm to improve the functionality and reliability of our flagship product and has the ability to work within our small, entrepreneurial, team oriented environment.  This position is located in our Lake Oswego, Oregon office.

Areas of Responsibility :

1. Ownership and maintenance of existing co-location server infrastructure

2. Design and implementation new cloud based product infrastructure

3. Performance and availability of hosting environment

4. Oversight and execution of data backup and continuity across all areas of the business

5. Maintain all software development infrastructure and tools (SVN, Redmine, etc.)

6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SaaS hosted products.

Required Skillset and Experience:

1. High availability hosted software expertise

2. Windows Server 2000,2003,2008, SQL Server 2000,2005,2008

3. *NIX Server Administration

4. Cisco Network Hardware Administration

5. IBM Storage Area Network

6. Software development tools (SVN, Continuous Integration)

7. Experience with various encryption methodologies

8. Document management systems experience (preferred not required)

Comments:

A strong understanding of enterprise (meaning multi-user, high bandwidth) hosting environments is critical to this position. A clear understanding of legacy technologies (Windows Server 2000, SQL 2000) and current technologies such as cloud environments is required.
