Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related fieldPLUSfour (4) years of responsible experience in information system technical support work such as operating systems, networking, server backup and recovery, or related fields.

OR

HS Diploma or GEDPLUS eight (8) years of responsible experience in information system technical support work such as operating systems, networking, server backup and recovery, or related fields. 
 

Preference will be given to candidates with proven senior level experience in one or more of the following areas:

Exchange 2007/2010, e-mail archiving systems, and knowledge of 3rd party collaboration tools

§         VMware and virtualization technologies
System administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment: Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

§         Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project specifications

§         SAN architecture, support, monitoring and troubleshooting

§         Backup and recovery management utilizing VeritasNetbackup

§         Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

§         This individual will serve as an escalation point for the production support staff and respond to support questions from less experienced staff

§         Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization from peers to the most senior leadership
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written

§         Experience developing project plans, deployment and test plans and documentation for migration plans

§         Experience working with Active Directory and integrated enterprise applications

§         Active Directory management tools

§         Relevant certifications such as MCITP, MCSA, MCSE or VCP
System administration experience within a large scale Windows environment

Must have a valid drivers’ license and an acceptable driving record.  Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time; manual dexterity; adequate speech, hearing, and vision required; operate assigned equipment. An extensive background check is required for this position.

The Platform Technologies team within Information Technology Solutions is seeking a qualified individual to join the team and assist in the administration of one or more of the following disciplines: Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, SAN infrastructure, and VeritasNetbackup.  This position will provide Sr. level support for the assigned disciplines and requires excellent customer service skills.  The position will report to the Platform Technologies Supervisor. This position is required to participate in a 24/7, 365 day on-call rotational schedule.
