Sierra Nevada Corporations Communication, Navigation, Surveillance / Air Traffic Management business is continuing to grow in support of its customers and seeks qualified and highly motivated individuals to join our team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. Degree, or higher, in Systems Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Will also have experience in one or more of the following areas: Joint Tactical Radio System, Tactical Data Link, Link-16, LAN/WAN, NIPRNET/SIPRNET, SATCOM, FAA Certification, FDA Certification experience, DO-178, COMSEC/TRANSEC, Medical Systems Development, FDA Certification, Web-Based Services, Database Management experience, and/or Military Systems Engineering Experience. 4-10 years of experience working with Mil/DoD Engineering development process. General functions are to design and integrate medical systems, develop advanced medical system concepts, evaluate the technical performance and function of advanced medical technologies, and develop functional requirements for advanced medical systems. Previous work with the development and integration of components and subsystems into major systems. Previous work with medical systems in the health care industry is preferred. Experience with aerospace industry flight certification processes is preferred. Assist with developing and managing of T2 subproject requirements, including responsible for all aspects of hardware/software prototyping and evaluation, specify technical requirements, evaluate the performance and possible benefits of advanced medical technologies, and develop detailed reports and recommendations. Mid-Level Systems Engineer, Transport Telemedicine Programs, Reno Nevada Office.
Candidate will be required to take top level customer requirements, derive lower level design requirements, define system architecture, system CONOPS, and allocate requirements to HW and SW configuration items.
Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods. Work requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories. Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
