Systems Engineering - DB2, Oracle, Terradata
CIBER is seeking an Application Systems Engineer with a 4 year degree plus 5+ years application development experience with RDBMS like DB2 UDB on UNIX and/or Teradata working in a data warehousing or distribution hub environment. Strong understanding of data integration process and experience using ETL Tools such as DataStage. Proven analytic and data profiling experience, requiring a strong understanding of Data Governance principles. Primary role will be to analyze and develop data quality practices for financial services systems. Identify, document and analyze physical and conceptual metadata to discover data quality issues and resolve from the root cause
A successful candidate will ensure data quality related to the implementation and execution of database enhancements - including metadata management, data quality and data stewardship. Functional understanding of data linkage, lineage and transformations. Participates in the planning, design, and usage of data resources. Develop and maintains data dictionaries and data quality test plans.
Very strong organizational skills must be able to effectively manage and support numerous projects at a time. Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work is CRITICAL.
Ability to collaborate and act as a liaison between technical and support teams with business proponents.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Effectively communicate with business partners as well as technical partners, team members and senior level management.
Description: Develops, directs, and assists in the preparation of moderately complex computer solutions in the maintenance and modification of new and currently used programs. Develops new programs of basic to moderate complexity. Performs modeling, simulations, and analysis. Prepares program test data, tests and debugs programs. Documents all procedures.
