Financial Services Practice - Retail Banking - Integrated Banking Solutions
 
The Banking consulting practice provides services to major banks around the globe and works in virtually all banking areas and competencies. 
- Retail Banking: Consumer deposits accounts, loans (e.g., auto, home equity), individual retirement accounts (IRAs)
- Mortgage: Consumer Loans secured by real estate (e.g., personal residence).  This includes the underwriting, approval, servicing and collections.
- Payments: Payments initiation, processing and settlement.  Includes credit cards
- Wholesale Banking: Cash management services (e.g., lockbox, fund management), merchant services, business banking services (deposits and loans), institutional trust and securities custody services to commercial and corporate institutions.
Systems Integration
 Deloitte Consulting's Systems Integration (SI) area drives the design and implementation of custom software solutions and related advisory services. 
Systems Integration is focused on four key offerings: design & development of custom business solutions, custom extensions to enterprise applications, testing strategy, support & design services and the migration of legacy technology to open architectures.

Essential Functions:
 
A Banking Senior Consultant in Systems Integration is involved in the design and implementation of custom technology-enabled business solutions for the retail banking industry. 
- Senior Consultants work within an engagement team and are not responsible for project management. 
- Responsibilities include, among others, identify business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
 
Banking SI Senior Consultants candidates are required to have:
- 3+ years of relevant technology architecture consulting in the banking industry.

- 3+ years of experience implementing large-scale custom development and/or systems integration projects across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle. 
- Integrated banking solutions experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Fidelity banking software, Hogan Systems, Fiserv software, Jack Henry Banking, Argo, S1 Personal Banking, TouchPoint, ViewPoint.
- Managed a technical team of 5+ resources.
- Ability to travel at least 80% of the time nationally to client locations.
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience.
 
Qualified Senior Consultant candidates are also required to have at least one full lifecycle project experience in the banking industry in one or more of the following areas:
- Significant experience with J2EE or .NET. solution development and application architecture.
- Significant experience with enterprise applications such as Siebel, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle.
- IT Strategy
initiatives.
- Middleware Implementations.
- Leveraging overall technical architecture knowledge across the retail banking industry.
- Business process analysis, mapping, and design.
- Requirements analysis, meeting with business owners, and performing current state system analysis.
- Performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques.
- Testing, including all phases: System, Integration, and Performance Testing and ensuring traceability.
 
In addition, successful Senior Consultants will also have the following preferred skills:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred
