Profile
Responsible for the operating activities of one or more functional departments and/or branches. Develop and maintain plans, policies, and procedures for all operating activities. Identifies, prioritizes, and communicates all system and process issues that affect productivity and efficiency, and provides input and support for necessary improvements. Duties may include, but are not limited to, identifying variable cost productivity opportunities, equipment return procedures, scheduling, quality assurance, billing, cost analysis, reporting, or inventory reconciliation. Participates with the customer in the strategic design process to identify additional product/service opportunities. Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure. Provides significant support in areas such as research and feasibility studies, tradeoff analyses, operation studies, design reviews, and technical briefings. Makes decisions on operating procedures and analytical approaches. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Also provides leadership, ensuring that assigned team members meet or exceed goals. Prepares basic budget reports, assures timeline compliance, and develops implementation/delivery plans.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing department objectives.
- Continuously develops and implements improved practices.
- Provides continuing project evaluation and feedback to team members.
- Develops and maintains department/branch plans, budgets, policies, or procedures.
- Monitors and analyzes costs and variable cost productivity gains.
- Provides work directions, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work, efficiency, and economy.
- Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with executive management to obtain necessary data required for planning activities. Prepares reports on department activities for executive management.
- Leads the design and installation of identified solutions including project management and team leadership.
- Provides leadership, technical assistance, and guidance with request for proposals, benchmark studies, bid specifications, and solution development.
- Consults with customers regularly to identify needs and develop and implement proposals.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers.
- Manages any personnel or discipline issues that may arise.
- Controls hiring and terminations as needed.
- Ensures team understands all company and department systems, policies, and procedures.
- Reviews and approves all personnel administrative duties, such as weekly time keeping, vacation scheduling, performance evaluations, annual reviews, etc.
- Provides training, coaching, and counseling to subordinates for continuous improvement throughout the systems integration functions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Requires 5-10 (2-4 min) years of related work experience, Bachelor's degree, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
- Experience in IT management of desk side services preferred.
- Previous supervisory or management experience, strong analytical skills, soft skills, and customer service abilities are required.
