Description:
Pathways Academy is a year round day school for children ages 6 - 22 with Asperger's and related disorders on the grounds of the McLean Campus.
The Special Education Teacher will support the Director with the ongoing development of Pathways Academy. They will teach and develop school curriculum, lead classroom and address daily issues. In addition they will implement daily schedules and ensure emergency coverage. The Special Education teacher will provide direct communication among Pathways Academy, our parents and the sending school district. They will demonstrate a willingness to remain flexible with a commitment to professional growth. Special Education Teachers are responsible for ensuring staff and student safety as well as providing crisis prevention and intervention as needed. They will supervise School Counselors and Interns.
Qualifications:
Massachusetts certification in Special Education (either Bachelor's or Master's level).
