The key directive is the successful implementation of our AMI products. This team is working on the deployment of our AMI system in Sacramento, CA. The team's operations revolve around installation and support for AMI meters, and the data storage from each component of the AMI hardware. Their product is a very robust and complex application in terms of its business logic, hardware application and what its effect on metering and billing data. 

Targeted candidates who implement this blend of hardware and software would come from organizations that work with similar systems to utility providers. Ideal targeted software solutions include:

·  Meter Data Management or Meter to Cash Platform

·  Interval data solutions

·  Implementation of billing solution in to a utility environment 

·  Software testing and troubleshooting 

Individuals who already have technical experience with components of the above tend to do very well within our organization.  Some small experience gaps can be filled in, but the technical business component must be in place. This is a front line position tasked with solving and resolving issues. Additionally, for our customers Implementation, the Technical Consultants must have experience and knowledge with applications and software development. These requirements are punctuated by exceptional technical, problem solving and customer facing skills.

From a professional and client service standpoint, individuals in this role must communicate very well across all mediums.  It is vital that they be articulate and effective in one on one, group-based and presentation based activities. Customer facing activities are even more critical during the requirements gathering phase.  Technical Consultants must be self starters, and not require micro-management.  They must possess a high level of responsibility, integrity, professionalism and ambition.

Technical Consultant Skill Set Requirements

Specifically, this includes:

·  .Net and performance testing

·  Demonstrated experience in the release of complex hardware, database systems and software

·  Proven ability to troubleshoot and log software application defects, then make a determination on escalation to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support

·  Employ advanced problem solving skills, technical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities to provide functionality and configuration solutions

·  Must have strong infrastructure experience and understanding of servers and how to work with them.

·  Working with existing infrastructure challenges consist of firewall and connectivity management within multiple components.

·  Perform advanced load balancing of infrastructure to ensure proper deployment.
Provide release and testing expertise and support.

·  Requires prior experience performing release management activities

·  Strong understanding and experience with XML

·  Possess strong working knowledge of at least 1 major database platform.

·  Ideal candidate will understand the components of development and programming data

·  Technical Consultants support testing and training. This requires strong knowledge or previous coding/development experience

·  Understanding of Meter Data Management or Meter to Cash process
