TECHNICAL SALES SPECIALIST – PIPING PRODUCTS

Their comprehensive line of products — customizable to customers’ needs — includes: grooved pipe couplings, grooved and plain-end fittings, valves, cast and malleable iron fittings, forged steel fittings, steel pipe nipples and couplings, pipe hangers and hardware, channel and strut fittings, mining and oil field fittings, and much more.
POSITION: The Technical Sales Specialist, based in New York City or Northern New Jersey, will be responsible for selling piping products and services to contractors and dealers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the promotion and sales of piping products and services d within the defined market area. This will include both the geographic territory and any Key Account assignments.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of current accounts. This will include overseeing the interacting with other functional areas in the management of the accounts.
- Find and develop new accounts. Also, develop new applications in current accounts.
- Execute strategic plans and initiatives outlined by the Division and Market teams.
- Troubleshoot account problems and facilitate technical solutions between Technical Service and the customer.
- Troubleshoot account issues and oversee issues between Customer Service and the customer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Engineering or Business Degree Preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience and account management in pipes, valves, fittings.
- Must be highly motivated, and self-starter go-getter
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong computer skills
