TECHNICAL WRITER (Medical Device)

In this high profile role, you will be an integral part of our growing Masimo product marketing organization! The Technical Writer will author, revise and maintain product documentation including Operators Manuals, Directions for Use (DFU), User Guides and Quick Reference Guides/Cards for a broad line of medical monitoring devices including Pulse CO-Oximeters, wireless communications systems, sensors, cables and accessories. In addition, the Technical Writer will proactively interact with Product Managers, Engineering and Clinical Research Associates to gain an in depth understanding of our product lines in order to effectively write to targeted audiences. Your technical writing ability skills will be rewarded with opportunities for career growth and advancement in a company that makes a difference in people’s lives!

Preferred Education/Skills:

 

·          Bachelors Degree Preferred.

·          2-4 years of technical writing in a medical or technology field.

·          Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment of teamwork and constant change.

·          Work well on a team as well as independently.

·          Organized, keen attention to detail a must.

·          Crisp, uncluttered, elegant writing style.

·          Demonstrated ability to successfully manage programs of multiple projects simultaneously through to completion.

·          Ability to describe complex technical and clinical information in easy to understand copy with terminology and sentence complexity tailored to the appropriate reading audience- clinical, technical, trainer, etc.

·          Competent in the use of InDesign preferred.

·          Strong PC skills including MS Office applications.

·          Experience dealing with localization/translation of technical documents is highly desired.

·          Fluent in reading and writing at least one language in addition to English is also highly desired.
