TELECOMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR – NEC systems proficiency


AVI-SPL, the national leader in audio visual solutions, has an immediate opening for a
Telecommunications Coordinator – to manage our extensive national communications system.

functional telecommunication system.    AVI-SPL’s telecommunications network is based at our
Corporate HQ and links a vast network of employees, clients, vendors, and customers.

Located just north of TIA, our corporate campus is an easy drive from all parts of the Tampa Bay
area. 


THE CHALLENGE:

The Telecommunications Coordinator ……
* Will be responsible for administering all of AVI’s day-to-day telecommunications needs
* Will maintain all corporate-wide telecommunication policies, procedures and training
* Will interact with personnel throughout our company to research and resolve all
telecommunication issues.
* Will be responsible for maintaining our complete phone system – including PBX, Voicemail,
Call Routing and long distance, internet services and line provisioning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES….

* Administer telephone and voice mail system, including development of auto-attendants, call
handlers, and routing.
* Handle station moves, adds, changes, and deletes – including cabling.
* Diagnose and resolve problems related to switch, voice mail and carrier network issues.
* Perform system back ups & all other scheduled maintenance activities.
* Coordinate installations and service with regional support vendors.
* Install and maintain equipment – including key, PBX, Voicemail systems, and other products –
to support field locations.
* Coordinate orders, disconnects, and problem resolutions with multiple regional carriers
* Conduct telephony invoice processing and payments.
* Act as principal point-of-contact to all vendors & on-site engineers – for the support and
delegation of all moves / adds / changes for the telecommunication systems..
* Analyze and recommend regional telecom operational improvements & efficiencies

 




REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum of 3 years telecommunications experience

o NEC NEAX 2400, 2000IPS, EliteIPK, MATWorx
o NEC Voice Mail systems, including NEAX AD129 and Key Systems
o ACD, Abacus, CallCenterWorX


* Customer service experience is a plus
* Ability for up to 25% overnight travel.

* Preferred applicants will have a verifiable background which will showcase these traits:

o Excellent oral and written skills
o Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision & meet multiple
deadlines.
o Effective interaction with employees at all levels, customers, and I.T. department
colleagues.
o Able to handle multiple tasks and priorities, and still resolve unexpected issues.
