Tax Clerk

The position reports directly to the Supervisor of Tax and Escrow. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Process loan level disbursements related to tax installments to applicable taxing authorities.
  • Perform tax research on escalated loan level issues/concerns received.
  • Responsible for making back search calls as requested and processing payments for current and delinquent taxes.
  • Process escrow analysis functions related to tax and insurance
  • Review departmental control reporting to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.
  • Perform reconciliations, control functions and compile special projects where analysis of data is required.
  • Perform variety of basic tax clerical duties by following instructions and procedures.

 

Key Result Areas:

 

  • Complete research items within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Process and release tax installments timely per applicable guidelines.
  • Review and remediate all control reporting data anomalies within managements prescribed timelines.

 

Qualifications:

 

This position requires the candidate to be very detailed orientated as well as have the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment. Excellent research, comprehension, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and a strong attention to detail are a must. A strong understanding of real estate taxes and mortgage industry is a plus. The candidate also must be proficient in Microsoft Applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. An Associated Degree or some college course work completed is required.
