Fast Growing Biotech/Pharmaceutical Company - Newly created position!
This individual will report to the Director of Tax and will have key
responsibility for the preparation and review of federal and state tax
compliance, FAS
109 income tax provision and tax basis balance sheet computations, research and certain federal and state audit
responsibilities.
The Tax Manager will :
Be responsible for first
line of review in all areas of the corporation’s tax compliance and provision
processes.
Have day to day interactions with the US and International Finance teams.
Manage US tax staff to timely
file annual and quarterly federal and state income tax compliance. Including the
preparation and review of federal and state income tax compliance
including key issues including foreign tax credit, 5471/5472 reporting, R&D, M&E, Section 199; prepare and review quarterly estimated tax
computations. Work with Tax Director to continuously improve the tax compliance
process and documentation of processes and procedures.
Participate in
special projects around federal and state planning, cross border transactions,
federal and state audit support, pharmaceutical specific tax issues and
acquisition purchase accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA Required
- Master’s in Taxation Preferred
- At least 5 – 7
years combined multinational corporate tax experience, with at least 3 – 5 years
in a Big 4 public accounting firm.
