Teacher Interns/On-Call Substitute Teachers (Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School)

We are now hiring teacher interns/on-call substitute teachers at various California campuses.

We are seeking highly motivated teachers with a desire to train in Challenger's curriculum and methods and to report on the delivery of Challenger classroom programs.

The primary job responsibility is to substitute for teachers as requested at any Challenger campus. Elementary and middle school teacher intern candidates must have a bachelor's degree. Middle school and elementary teacher interns are expected to teach Challenger curriculum by preparing structured presentations in math, grammar and composition, history and geography, logic and critical thinking, and science. Prior teaching experience is helpful but not required.

Preschool teacher intern candidates must have 12 semester ECE units or equivalent. Teachers will teach reading, math, and science concepts to preschool children using drills, songs, and other structured activities. Piano playing skills or other musical ability is a plus.

Teacher interns will conduct class observations when not substituting. On-call substitutes will work at various campuses as needed.
