QUALIFICATIONS: BS in related discipline requiredminimum of 1 year experience in related industry and/or supervisory role preferredStrong verbal and written communication, coaching, organization and teamwork skillsDemonstrated leadership ability and aptitude to train and utilize workers in a multi-faceted environmentPrevious cell culture or bioreactor knowledgeAbility to meet high production demands/schedulesAbility to work in close team environmentsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise personnel and activities in the assigned area in order to produce high quality product or resultsTroubleshoot production problems, document findings, and implement solutions to resolve problemsKeep updated and train personnel in scientific principles, time management, GMPs, technical requirements, and all other policies and regulations governing the production of assigned productCommunicate to management progress of the department, problems, employee actions, new ideas, and all other pertinent informationAdministration of company policies and safety programs and understanding and enforcing terms of the union contractInterface with other department Team Leaders and employees in a professional manner to coordinate the activities and issuesRequistions purchase of operating supplies and recommends purchase of new or replacement equipmentMake recommendations to hire/terminate personnel and discipline personnel as needed according to policies and proceduresParticipate in and/or chair appropriate meetings and committees as assigned |
