TEAM LEADER OF RISK MANAGEMENT

The Team Leader of Risk Management is a positive, influential individual with successful experience in leading a team to desired outcomes and goals; and a creative, pro-active change agent with a strong understanding and successful track record of improving overall regulatory and compliance results. The Team Leader is responsible for the operational and technical activities of the Quality/Risk/Patient Safety Department.  In collaboration with medical staff leadership, the Team Leader develops and implements performance improvement utilizing data from peer review, core clinical outcome measures, resource utilization review, patient safety, and root cause analyses findings to support exceptional health care delivery.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor's Degree required in Nursing, Information Systems, Medical Records, or health care related field

•Master's Degree preferred.

•3 to 5 years hospital based risk management experience with background in a clinical field
• 1 year risk management leadership experience
• High level of analytical and critical thinking skills

• Effective, credible, engaging leader with ability to hold team accountable
• Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to motivate and influence others to achieve excellence
• Highly organized, systematic and able to function successfully in a fast paced environment
• High level of initiative and ability to manage competing priorities / short deadlines
 •Embraces shared decision making and coordination with other departments
 •Effective oral and written communication with all levels of the organization
