Position Summary:

The Technical Account Manager must be adept at speaking in both technical and non-technical terms, and able to fill the gap between technical and non-technical people, to ensure that the requested need can be communicated to effectively deliver the right solution.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical Writing Skills - Candidate should have proven technical writing and documentation skills, previous experience with drafting, writing, and editing of technical/non-technical documentation required.
  • Account management experience - A major portion of this position will deal with account manager type activities, someone with AM thought-process is vital. This involves working with finesse and muscle when required. It also requires the ability to exert influence as needed to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Excellent project management skills - To further expand the role of an account manager, this person will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects and timelines both directly under their control and through other functional groups. Acting as a liaison between functional groups to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget with required features will be a key element of this position.
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills - Ability to keep all activities, projects, requests, documentation, timelines etc. documented and controlled in an organized way. Must have audit trail ability in communications and project change requests as well as scope creep.

 

Required Experience, Skills and Education:

  • Fluent in HTML and HTML Tools - Must have an understanding of the methodologies to create email communications.
  • Excellent database knowledge such as SQL to understand communications to and from DB administrators
  • MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • 4 + years previous industry experience required
  • Bachelors Degree (BS or BA) preferred
