Technical Alliance Manager - Molecular Biologist needed

Description
The Technical Alliance Manager will be responsible for activities that support licensees' successful utilization of a human cell line for production of biologics, primarily for therapeutic use, and also for the production of vaccines. This will include both initial introduction to all protocols and procedures relating to these license activities, and also maintaining regular communications and supplying all ongoing needed support of licensees.

Responsibilities
1. Provide direct licensee support for use of the line, including onboarding (typically at licensee site) and follow up technical support via conference calls, visits at licensee site and/or visits to the company's location in Cambridge, MA.
2. Work closely with the R&D scientists in providing licensee support, staying abreast of new protocols and results, and participating in lab bench work to be adept at all protocols.
3. Work closely with the Strategic Alliance Managers to assure licensee success and satisfaction.
4. Manage, update and distribute the Know How Files which constitute all protocols distributed to licensees.
5. Function as a liaison between the Business Development team and the scientists.
6. Provide support to the Business Development team in their efforts to acquaint potential licensees with the cell line.
7. Attend scientific and industry conferences to stay abreast of technical issues and trends in the industry.
8. Provide input and support to monthly internal Customer Support Meetings
9. Communicate licensee status and technical progress and issues to larger teams within the organization in the form of monthly reports and interim updates.

Working hours: 40 hours, overtime exempt

Requirements
* B.S./M.S. in Biological Sciences; strong knowledge of Molecular/Cell Biology
* Bench science experience in Molecular Biology; cell culture/bioreactor experience a plus

Experience
* 3+ years working in the biotechnology arena.
* Molecular Biology experience required; Cell Line Development, Upstream Manufacturing, and/or bioreactor experience preferred.

Skills
* Technical competence, excellent scientific skills in Molecular Biology
* A "people" person, pleasant and well spoken; ability to interact with clients in a courteous and productive manner
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Highly motivated, self starter, ability to work independently and also function well in a team environment
