Covestic is looking for an experienced Technical Analyst with a focus in Code Configuration Management. The role is part of a large-scale software development and COTS program. It involves working with application, infrastructure and vendor teams to plan, coordinate, and manage system environments for development, testing and production deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all code build and kitting processes between internal and external teams
- Provide tracking mechanisms to ensure which builds are present in which environment
- Manage over 20 testing environments simultaneously
- Coordinate all activities to apply hot fixes, patches and new code releases into all pre-production environments
- 3+ years of testing experience within the telecommunications industry
- 3+ years of data analysis and migration experience
- Order management and billing experience within the telecommunications industry
- Background in development and testing is required
- Experience in an Agile or Scrum based methodology for tool and process development, testing and release.
- Proven critical/analytical thinking ability
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical groups
- Self-starter who takes initiative to find answers to challenging problems
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive 'can do' attitude
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Fundamental project management skills (e.g., scheduling, issue mgmt, facilitation, coordination, etc.)
- Degree in computer science or management systems (preferred)
