Job Summary

Works with team leader/project manager to develop final deliverables. Develops or updates user manuals for Health Care diagnostic devices based on end-user needs and client specifications and expectations. Utilizes XML and desktop publishing applications for delivery of final deliverables to the client. Communicates with client and internal contributors to ensure that deliverables are within established budget and timing guidelines. Interacts with department management and support personnel for input, direction, and resource acquisition.

Specific operator/repair knowledge of health care devices, PET, CT, X-Ray, MRI, and Nuclear is preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Develops technical documentation.
2. Consults with various client contacts and subject matter experts to gather product-specific information.
3. Participates in meetings with clients, subject matter experts, and departmental co-workers.
4. Advises project manager/team leader of project status and potential issues.
5. Responsible for delivery of deliverables that are on time, within budget, and accurate.
6. Follows and maintains content plans and outlines.
7. Maintains or modifies graphics files.
8. Adheres to individual and project schedules and assists with planning delivery schedules.
9. Implements quality assurance standards and techniques.
10. Completes various assignments as directed by management.
11. Maintains customer satisfaction.
12. Uses office equipment as required.

Qualifications

1. Ability to read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal and written communications, such as client communications and technical information.
2. Ability to communicate ideas in text format, in a clear, concise manner.
3. Ability to communicate ideas verbally in a clear, concise manner.
4. Ability to meet deadlines, monitor and assess performance within deadlines, and utilize appropriate resources to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
5. Ability to work with short deadlines and high stress and to handle frequently changing demands.
6. Ability to utilize creative problem-resolution skills to handle client-related concerns.
7. Ability to be forward thinking.
8. Knowledge of electrical circuits and systems is required.
9. Specific operator knowledge of Health Care diagnostic devices preferred.
10. A Bachelor s Degree in Technical Writing, English, or related degree preferred.
11. A minimum of three years of technical communication, or equivalent experience preferred.
12. A minimum of three years consulting experience preferred.
13. In-depth knowledge of at least three Authoring/Graphics tools (e.g., Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker. Adobe PhotoShop).
