This position requires Spanish Fluency as a requirement The Technical Consultant Hosting, BP&I is responsible for defining IT solutions (together with the Manager Hosting) within their area of responsibility. In the area of Digital Marketing Services, this position’s main responsibilities are managing the hosting of web sites in conjunction with third party suppliers. This includes presenting a vision to the broader organization of the business technology, the process benefits and challenges, while considering measurable impact on the profitability or effectiveness of the organization. This position provides oversight and direction to the hosting team and third party suppliers. This includes creating proposals to meet customer needs, procurement of hardware and software, scheduling hardware and software installation, quality assurance of the hosting environment, turn over to the customer, putting appropriate monitoring in place, and providing production support for the hosting environment. When requests for new software are received, this role is responsible for reviewing suitability with architecture management and identifying alternatives, as required. This position is also responsible for oversight of security of the hosting environment and ensuring rigorous audits and controls are put in place and regularly updated and monitored. Evaluates vendor technology and drives technology selection process. Provides technical analysis, guidance and solution recommendations. This role will not have direct organizational reports, but may be assigned to lead projects of medium size and medium to high complexity. Main Accountabilities • Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements, and specify effective business processes. Organizes their implementation through improvements in information systems, data management, practices and, organization. • Applies and monitors the use of required modeling and analysis tools, methods and standards in an intelligent and effective way. • Co-operates with senior client and IS staff as required, supporting investigations at a high level for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies. Maintains technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analyzed, modelled and classified according to technical feasibility and performance. • Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities. • Manages the extended hosting team supporting this area, which includes a variety of resources from external service providers including developers, database administrators, technical architects, system administrators, technical writers and database analysts. • Applies available standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way, and produces a consistently high standard of documentation of both a technical and a descriptive nature. • Supports Digital Marketing applications in the hosing environment from selection through design and implementation. • Provides support and guidance on infrastructure including backup and recovery strategies, database and system administration, hardware selection and support, storage and network strategies, and system and performance monitoring. • Performs quality assurance and assists clients/users in defining acceptance tests for automated systems, and takes responsibility for their proper execution. • Comply with consumer data quality and privacy guidelines. Adhere to the data architecture guidelines. Adhere to all department procedures and controls. • To oversee portions of technology and process improvement activities (External and internal orientation) • Perform skill/knowledge transfer of technical and/or business expertise to other staff members through mentoring and instruction. • To support the consultation and influencing the main Stakeholders on benefits and impacts of processes and technology transformation • To assure the business is aware of implemented capabilities, and to seek opportunities for benefit maximization (usability, exploitation). • Reinforce IT governance • Propose streamline activities for IT technologies and processes and work to eliminate redundancy. • Knowledge Transfer to Running organization • Level 3 and level 4 application support along with 3rd party suppliers. Assists Services, Program Operations, and Program Planning with user support.
