advanced adhesives, coatings, encapsulants, films, mold compounds and solder paste for circuit and component assembly for e.g. mobile telecoms, automotive, display
manufacturers and others. The Technical Customer Service group is responsible for developing applications knowledge with respect to Henkel Adhesive Electronics markets and new products that ensures the products, as manufactured, can be successfully employed by Henkel Adhesive Electronics customers in a manner that brings value to our customers which is clear and identifiable.

What we offer


The Technical Customer Service (TCS) Solar Technology Lead functions as an integral member and leader of the TCS Engineering team and reports to the Regional Head of TCS. This position leads and coordinates a global TCS support team and is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and supporting all facets of engineering field service and applications support associated with the growth and maintenance of Henkel’s solar business. Additionally, this position is expected to identify methods that create customer value as well as contribute to technology road mapping activities and business strategies. Some specifics include the driving of best practices across the regions to improve TCS technical support performance; Collaboration with global stake holders to ensure consist technical support globally; Identification, validation and support of global innovation opportunities; creating and maintaining a global TCS network for cross-regional communication and collaboration.
 
1) Key Tasks
Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.
Recognized within the solar industry as being a technical expert in a specific technology, application and/or product line.
Manages large-scale internal/external conflicts professionally and efficiently.
Successfully handles on-site support of complex customer issues.
Regularly uses project/program management skills/tools to drive regional/global projects to completion.
Expected to coordinate and lead global Engineering resources supporting the growth and maintenance of Henkel’s solar business and ensuring cross-regional communication and collaboration.
Expected to lead cross-functional teams to address problems associated with Henkel products used within the solar industry.
Successfully provides insight and support with respect to the development of new products/technologies or qualification of existing products associated with the solar industry o Generates internal/external testing plans and/or experiments
 
2) Strategic Responsibilities 
Effectively and concisely delivers written/verbal communication as well as disseminates / shares knowledge/ideas within the organization and corresponding leadership / stakeholders.
Demonstrated knowledge of major products, technologies and/or processes associated with solar industry. Uses knowledge while contributing to Henkel’s strategic and tactical planning. oIdentifies unique opportunities that create customer value that leads to the generation of sales.
Acts as a Henkel Ambassador and represents Henkel and its interests externally.
Contributes notably to Henkel's IP realization efforts based on knowledge of market needs / trends and competitor activities associated the solar industry.
Contributes notably to road mapping of technology/business development associated with the solar industry.

Qualification:

Who we are looking for


Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields.
7+ Years Experience working in the solar industry and Recognized within the solar industry and recognized as being a technical expert in a specific technology, application and/or product line. Working experience in EIMEA or the Americas preferred.
Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data.
Demonstrated ability to partner with other team members in product development programs.
Experience in writing technical papers or reports as well presenting results to a technical team.
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills. Candidate must be able to work in a global team atmosphere and independently on multi-task assignments.
Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred.
