About the Opportunity
The Technical Director will be responsible for leading and directing the development team to include, project management and resource allocation of multiple client account teams, leading application development enhancements as well as new development, and will also provide strategic sales support. The Technical Director will work with Relationship Managers and technical management on shrink-wrapped packages delivered as customized solutions to clients. These development projects include requirements definition, resource allocation, pricing, physical rollout, delivery, and acceptance testing; most development is done on a .NET platform with an Oracle or SQL Server database. The Technical Director will also be involved in creating and presenting proof-of-concept demos.
Qualifications:
The right candidate will likely have been a Software Architect and a Software Development Manager within a mid-sized or large company. The Technical Director will understand how to assess both the existing talent pool, and also understand how to select the right talent moving forward. This is mostly a leadership role with approximately 25% hands-on technical development. We are looking for someone that has led a team of approximately 10-15 total reports, and also someone that is also willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the development team.

Educational Requirements; Experience
Bachelor's degree in MIS or related field
Five plus years relevant experience including client facing duties.
Five plus years leading a development team of at least 10 total reports
Direct Marketing, understanding of Database Technology (Oracle is a must),
Knowledge of retention marketing strategies and analytic driven solutions.
Past experience in managing an application development team focused on .NET and J2EE development with main emphasis on .NET development vs. J2EE
ASP.NET, VB, PL/SQL, SOAP, Web Services, is strongly desired, as well as being involved in GUI design.
Experience with campaign management tools from Unica, Aprimo, SAS, etc. is a plus.
Open to travel approximately 10-15%
