TechTarget's Networking Media Group is seeking a Technical Editor to write technology backgrounders and feature stories on networking and communications technology. Topics include enterprise routing and switching, unified communications, mobile computing and telecommunications. This editor will be responsible for producing articles of interest to IT administrators, managers and technicians, and will be expected to develop knowledge of the readership by speaking with them and other experts in the field. The position may also include some multi-media editorial projects and site maintenance duties. Ideal candidates should have at least three years' experience writing or editing and some networking technology background.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Write under deadline; produce 2 to 3 pieces of content a week;

·         Produce clear, concise copy;

·         Editorial project management and collaboration with team members

·         Web research

·         Regular interaction with readers and industry experts

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

·         3 years of experience, preferably in online writing or editing

·         Bachelor's degree in journalism, English or IT

·         Solid understanding of writing, journalism ethics and story structure;

·         Strong understanding of grammar and punctuation;

·         Some background in enterprise networking technology and  telecommunications, and a willingness and ability to learn more

·         Basic knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)

·         Ability to work in deadline-driven, team-oriented environment

·         Creative sensibilities and self-motivation

·         Willingness to travel occasionally.
