The Technical Laboratory Director will be responsible for 50+ employees under 3 Managers specializing in automated lab and special chemistry, microbiology and anatomic pathology.  A minimum of 10 years experience in a fast-paced automated lab is required with acute care hospital experience preferred.  An advanced degree in biological sciences is required as well as a successful track record in process improvement, financial management and improvements to customer service. This may also be a good fit for a Clinical Pathology board-certified pathologist.

Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC (PDL) is a non-profit clinical laboratory established in response to the local community’s need for a local, clinical laboratory.  PDL offers the highest quality of laboratory services as well as an unmatched level of customer service.  In addition, PDL’s Core Laboratory provides the largest test menu between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories is fully accredited and certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.  PDL recently became a wholly owned subsidiary of Cottage Health System www.cottagehealthsystem.org .  PDL presents an exciting, fast-paced environment with growth and change as the foundation. The upcoming year will be project focused including  relocation into a new, state-of-the-art automated laboratory and transition to an enterprise-wide LIS.
