Information Technology (IT): Information Technology (IT) is a full-service IT organization that enables the growth of the IIS business by utilizing its knowledge of current and future technologies to develop innovative solutions for our customers. Information Systems roles within the IIS business include architecture, IT strategy & innovation, project/portfolio management, business relationship services, IT operations & services, information assurance, software & application services and internal performance management. Job Description: This is a Technical Lead position (Sr. Systems Integration Technologist II). The Technical Lead provides leadership and technical oversight to Information System (IT) personnel assigned to the Program. The Technical Lead works hand-in-hand with program management, Sr. technical management, business operations, contracts, and other disciplines to assist program personnel in identifying and solving problems and defining and meeting schedules. The focus of this team is to provide high responsiveness to the Program, while building technical competency of the IT personnel. This position requires minimal direction and will exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments while satisfying system design and operational requirements. Specific duties include: - Interact with, and support, program management, senior technical management, business operations, other disciplines, and the customer in identifying and solving problems and meeting schedule deadlines - Define and manage Configuration Item (CI) activities and resources to ensure achievement of Program milestones and objectives - Plan, Manage, and coordinate Lab resources - Participate in computer and network architecture design for deliverable, as well as development equipment - Satisfactorily coordinate resolution of technical issues that may arise - Oversee the development and implementation of CI metrics - Coordinate staffing needs and planning with Program Management; work with IT POC Leads - Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of CI process documentation - Responsible for computer equipment installation, de-installation, configuration plans - Participate in the weekly Architecture meetings as required - Provide status of activities to Program leadership Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills: Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience, plus four or more years directly related experience in infrastructure engineering (UNIX and Windows-based systems administration and large infrastructure architecture solutions design and implementation). * Must be able to demonstrate experience in a leadership role * Must have three or more years experience adhering to formal process and configuration management principles * Must have five or more years of enterprise level systems administration (UNIX and/or Windows) experience * Must have three or more year systems Windows systems administration experience * Must have three or more year systems UNIX systems administration experience * Must be able to demonstrate experience in making final decisions on administrative or functional activities of an IT organization * Proven strong interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills * Must be able to demonstrate experience in developing and administering schedules, and performance standards * REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AN SSBI SECURITY CLEARANCE. Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge: * Preference given for candidates with M.S. in Engineering or Information Systems Management * Red Hat Linux systems administration experience * Experience working in and with cross-functional teams * Experience collaborating in a matrix organization is desired * Familiarity with iterative software development lifecycle models * Experience in supporting proposals, developing estimates, technical documents, and other contract deliverable items * Experience with creating and managing technical baselines consisting of specifications, interface control documents, and engineering drawings * Experience with schedule development, action item management, and task status and management Company & Benefit Information: Our stated Vision is to be the most admired defense and aerospace systems supplier through world-class people and technology.
