Plasma-Therm is currently in need of an experienced:  Technical Marketing Manager (TMM)


 


SUMMARY:  Marketing of capital equipment, parts, and services within guidelines and operating budgets.


 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


·          Develops and maintains market plans for assigned markets, drawing from commercially available data and information, as well as regularly submitted forecasts, customer databases, account profiles, sample requests, and trip reports.


·          Manages the creation and maintenance of price books for applicable product lines to align company’s offerings with specific market needs.


·          Manages the marketing plan to achieve mid term to long term revenue targets.


·          Interface with past, current and prospective customers/clients, as well as in house Field Sales Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and management,.


·          Supports field sales when appropriate, in calling on key decision makers, including management representatives at identified and prospective accounts, to overcome obstacles to sales, and coordinate corporate resources to address customer concerns.


·          Manages and coordinates development of market and product specific marketing and sales collateral material, including brochures, presentation and promotional materials, and provides training to field sales staff in effective utilization of such material.


·          Assists in the review of customer requirements, to prepare quotations or proposals for fulfilling clients’ needs. 


·          Participates in Application Resource Planning meetings to help set lab sample priorities.


·          It is every employee’s responsibility to be aware of the applicable Safety & Health, Quality and Environmental Process of the company.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


·          Masters degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or physics, Materials or chemistry; PhD preferred.


·          Seven to ten years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in GaAs wireless devices, MEMS, LED, photomask, or photonics markets highly desirable.


·          Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, major credit card (for business travel), and passport.


 


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


·          Ability to interpret technical journals and papers, and other related material.


·          Ability to communicate effectively inter-departmentally, and externally with customers, and other contacts such as vendors. 


·          Ability to compile technical reports and present technical material to internal and external groups including high level management teams.


·          Ability to travel extensively (approx. 40% - 50%) as required to support Sales activities for new or prospective business, as well as trade shows, industry meetings, etc.  


·          Ability to negotiate technical aspects of purchase (including process specifications, hardware configurations, and commercial terms and conditions).


·          Proficient in Windows-based software (Microsoft Office including presentation/graphics applications).
