The Technical Operations Center Manager will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Technical Operations Center team, including supervision, budgeting, process optimization, and system monitoring. The TOC Manager will inspire his team with his outstanding customer service skills and technical prowess while leading the group to increased efficiencies and best-in-class crisis support. We are looking for top-notch talent; salary will be commensurate with experience and track record.
Primary Responsibilities
· Manage Technical Operations Center staff, policies and procedures
· Supervise Help Desk organization
· Manage ticketing process with emphasis on performance tracking and problem trending
· Monitor key business systems in an ever changing three tier ecommerce environment
· Maintain and standardize system documentation, process documentation and SLAs
· Manage budget for equipment replacement and refresh
· Manage automation of regular system checks and procedures
· Lead Change Management team
· 24x7 on call rotation
· When required assist with End User Support:
o Desktop/Laptop hardware and software troubleshooting
o Handheld /Smartphone troubleshooting and management
o Moves, Adds and Changes
Job Requirements
· Strong expertise in Microsoft end user technologies, including Office, VPN and Terminal Services
· Strong expertise in HP Sitescope
· Strong expertise in Network Operations Center type environment
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange
· Advanced knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Server OS
· Strong networking background in order to carry out assigned administrative tasks
· Experience using infrastructure technologies such as DNS and WINS
· HP LeftHand Networks iSCSI SAN administration
· Symantec Backup Exec tape/disk backup and restore management
· F5 LTM administration
· Trend Micro antivirus protection
· Microsoft T-SQL scripting
· Task automation experience using various scripting languages
· VMware ESX/ESXi administration
· VMware Lab Manager administration
· Familiarity with MS SQL Server operation
· Microsoft 2003/2008 clustering
· Microsoft Message Queue
Additional Requirements
· Strong customer service skills and a willingness to exceed customer expectations
· Well organized and detail oriented
· This position requires 40+ hours per week
· Must be able to respond to system issues and remote support calls 7x24x365
· Able to work weekends and nights when needed.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
