Technical Program Manager - Builder Tools

The Builder Tools organization needs a talented Technical Program Manager that can wear many hats without breaking a sweat.

 

The right candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to plan and organize large events for several hundred participants from end to end including marketing, copy writing, coordinating guest speakers, while creating an atmosphere of fun and excitement.

• Master of communication. You relentlessly strive to ensure that the right information is delivered to the right audience about your programs and projects. This communication clearly articulates scope, time lines, owners, risks, mitigation and successes.

• Demonstrate the ability to become an expert in business processes and subject matter that are new to you in a short time.

• Write high quality, unambiguous functional specifications that business and technical stakeholders can easily understand.

• Recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.

• Confidently represent your team to other parts of the company.

• Solve technical problems with urgency by helping technical teams reach consensus by asking the right questions, and offering solutions.

• Have played a leading role in managing the delivery of large projects spanning teams in your company.

• You get a lot done. You work very efficiently and routinely deliver the right things.

• Knowledge of software development life cycle, project management methodologies

• A bachelors degree plus 4 years project management experience


Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role are broad and can be divided in the following categories:

Company-wide SDE Training Initiatives

• Drive software developer training initiatives across the company.

• Coordinate training/video broadcasts for global employees.

• Work with teams in other organizations to author training content and videos.

Organization of Fun and Exciting Developer-focused Events

• Organize internal conferences and high profile guest talks.

• Create and promote software competitions throughout the year.

Manage Software Projects Across Multiple Organizations

• Work closely with business process owners within the company to identify requirements for new and existing software systems

• Plan and orchestrate the development and implementation efforts.

• Regularly communicate with end-users, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure project success.
