Technical Project Manager

As part of out Technology, Operations and Support division the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

• Manage specific technical projects for internal customers in a timely and efficient manner


• Develop project plans and pro-actively manage them to completion


• Work with business owners to understand and identify IT system requirements, solutions and building a business case to support recommended solutions


• Ability to work closely with IT departments on key infrastructure projects.


• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management, specifically technical projects, including scope management, financial tracking, scheduling and resource management.


• Successful track record of pro-actively managing multiple simultaneous technical projects to completion.


• Experience running IT infrastructure related projects.


• Solid Understanding of Networks, Firewalls, Mainframe and Midrange systems.


• Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate with all levels of organization.


• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate team members and facilitate change in the organization.


• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-driven individual.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Bachelor's Degree and at least 6+ years of experience in technology project management, implementation of various platform environments, i.e. UNIX, Intel, AIX or other directly related experience.


• Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify

 
Preferred Skills:
 

• IT related background


• Project Management Professional certification


• Financial services background Experience with multiple project management / software development methodologies, including Agile Software Development
