The successful candidate will serve as a Technical Recruitment Specialist reporting to the Human Resources division.
Job Description:
· Recruit and identify talented IT and executive level professionals with specialized skill sets; search for qualified candidates by researching and leveraging sourcing methods including but not limited to recruitment job boards, social media websites, professional organizations and industry groups, university relations, networking, database searches, advertisements, and career fairs.
· Develop a diversity recruitment strategy to recruit skilled IT professionals; research and explore ways to attract and promote a diverse workforce; foster relationships with diverse professional organizations.
· Build and manage relationships with the industry’s most talented IT professionals; research best practice recruitment strategies; stay current on the technology staffing industry, economic trends and cutting edge technology.
· Determine candidate eligibility by evaluating and assessing skills, expertise, experience, education, and salary requirements; develop and maintain a database of expert IT professionals.
· Assist hiring managers with writing technical job descriptions and identifying preferred skill sets; vet and interview candidates, and perform candidate reference checks; meet regularly with hiring managers to receive and provide feedback on recruitment efforts.
· Oversee recruitment advertising contracts; manage and place ads on internet job boards and publications; develop and maintain a recruitment advertising database.
· Develop metrics and reporting on recruitment practices; prepare and maintain tracking reports.
· Manage special recruitment projects and initiatives as assigned. The position’s responsibilities include commitment to and compliance with the City’s EEO policy.
Day - Due to the necessary management duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to be on call and/or work various shifts such as weekends and/or evenings.
Essential Skills:
· Strong IT knowledge and technical recruitment experience as it relates to the hiring needs of a fast growing technical environment.
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and prospective candidates.
· Experience with internet recruitment sites.
· Strong networking and research skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
· Must be a self-motivated, results-oriented and resourceful individual with effective time management skills.
· Must have the ability to work independently as well as a team member.
· Demonstrated experience working with technical and non-technical staff.
· Excellent collaboration, analytical and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organization and facilitation skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Qualification Requirements:
A BA and 4 years of clerical/administrative experience with 18 months in an administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity.
