| Technical Resource Center Engineer |

Description: JOB PURPOSE The primary goal of the Technical Resource Center(TRC)is to offer courteous service and high quality support to our customers. TRC Engineers respond quickly to customer needs, providing technical support to resolve issues in a timely fashion.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
oProvide technical product support both directly to customers and to Technical Support Engineers, and Sales including researching, replicating, and resolving product issues.
oProvide on-site troubleshooting, training, startup assistance to customers as needed.
oDocument all customer contacts and meetings with timely Call Reports, utilizing computerized Customer Database System.
oPresent a positive and professional image of Eaton and our products in all customer contacts.
oAssist in the communication of software / communications concerns or other product issues to Engineering personnel.
oMaintain current knowledge of Eaton Drives products and revisions. Also establish and maintain knowledge with other industrial automation equipment PLCs.
oParticipate in the after-hours support service in accordance with the published schedule.
oAct as mentor to other Technical Support Engineers.
oActively support the Drives Business Unit Quality Mission Statement, as well as any departmental and individual quality goals. Adhere to established quality-related procedures and guidelines.
oActively seek cost saving and productivity improvement opportunities within the department, as well as the Drives Business Unit as a whole.
oPerform other duties as required to achieve departmental and Drives Business Unit objectives.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred. An understanding and applicable experience with drives (variable frequency drives or variable speed drives) required. PLC and/or communications protocol experience is a plus. A two-year degree with significant demonstrated drives experience would be considered.
