Among other positions, MEDSEEK is seeking a Technical Consultant to facilitate cross-functional decisions regarding solution improvements or the introduction of new technologies by working with internal and external parties. This role will include pre- and post-sales support to new and existing clients through a managed sales process. The position is responsible for providing technical assistance through the enterprise and client base, as required. MEDSEEK web solutions focus on healthcare consumers, employees, patients, and physicians, commonly referred to as “eHealth.”

Primary Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide pre-sales technical guidance to account executives throughout sales cycle.
  • Provide web tours and on-site demonstrations within sales context.
  • Provide architecture and technical design guidance/documentation to new and existing clients based on environment and need.
  • Facilitate quotations for customer requests, including client/team communications and requirements gathering.
  • Provide technical research and support to Solutions Management and Business Development groups.
  • Collaborate and manage technical documentation for dissemination outside of Engineering across enterprise.
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient on all MEDSEEK products and services; in addition, must be subject-matter expert in all MEDSEEK solutions.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of internal/external management, including up to a senior and/or executive level.
  • Provide mentoring and education to non-technical teams within MEDSEEK.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, required. Master’s Degree or continuing education in a related field, preferred.
    • Minimum two (2) years of consulting/technical sales experience at a software company, preferably serving the eHealth market.
    • Minimum two (2) years website or eHealth proficiency with two (2) or more of the following technologies: Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft .NET/C#, Adobe ColdFusion, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL.
    • Experience with HL7, IHE/HITSP, or other standards-based exchange, preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft BizTalk or Dynamics CRM, preferred.
    • Fundamental knowledge of network implementation and client/server topologies, including current hardware and software standards.
    • Customer facing eHealth experience in one or more of the following areas: technical sales, support, consulting, account management, project management, or implementations.
    • This position requires a creative, forward thinking individual that can appropriately apply technology to solve business issues as well as contribute to internal process improvement efforts.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations. Must work well, independently, or as a member of a sales team.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to quickly grasp issues and speak confidently about them to customers.
    • Strong customer service ethic with a high level of dependability in regards to timelines and quality of deliverables.
    • Must be able to travel approximately fifty-percent. (50%)
