PwC's Internal Firm Services (IFS) staff members provide strategic services to our internal clients in the areas of Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Infrastructure, Knowledge Management, Learning & Education (L&E), Marketing & Sales, National Special Functions, Office of the General Counsel (OGC), and Risk Management. PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently seeking a qualified individual for the following position:

Summary:
The Technical Security Advisor's (TSA) principal responsibilities are to provide subject matter expertise developing guidance and recommended solutions to assist territories in proper implementation of security controls as mandated by the Global Information Security Policy (ISP).

The TSA will also be required successfully deliver the following (but not limited to) services to our stakeholders such as pre-audit Services, Compliance Self-Certification Process (CSP), post-audit issues remediation guidance, vulnerability management and security awareness training for our stakeholders. In addition, upon request from the Cluster Lead, the TSA will peer review technical solutions, recommendations, and service delivery to ensure they are aligned with PwC policies, standards, supplements, and industry best-practices. The TSA will be required to use their expertise in network security, systems/end-point security, or application security to support both the internal NTSG SAS Teams, but as well our territory stakeholders.

The role necessitates an ability to communicate effectively and influence IT leadership, staff and other stakeholders, firm-wide, therefore it is essential this person operates with the utmost degree of personal presentation, integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities/Metrics
Provision of services
Conduct security risk analyses of existing applications and make technical recommendations about the implementation of security measures to ensure that the firm's applications are appropriately protected in accordance with the PwC Information Security Policy and Global IT technical standards.
Initiate and manage service delivery of all SAS services to stakeholders timely and with high quality delivery.
Peer review technical solutions and security guidance to ensure they are relevant and accurate based on PwC policy, standards, supplements, and industry best-practices.
Advise territories with regard to general IT security and information risk management issues in order to ensure that security is appropriately considered.
Conduct pre-audit security assessments, where requested, to assist territories to prepare for compliance site audits.
Communication and influence
Work directly with territories to provide guidance remediation of open post-audit issues.
Actively contribute to global Advisory meetings and act as a technical lead during cluster information security forums and regional work groups in their subject matter of expertise.
Provide technical support and research within NTSG for the recommendation and implementation of security tools and provision of training sessions.
Provide meaningful, accurate reports to Cluster Lead and NTSG management on request.

Team responsibilities

Education Required
Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS)

Job Requirements
Experience Level: 5 - 8 Years Experience Other Details: A university graduate with a degree in computer science, telecommunications, networking, engineering or another computer-related field; OR A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT operations, technical or security administration backgrounds Skills and Experience Conversant with ISO 27002:2005 information security standard. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills in order to resolve complex security vulnerabilities and design compensatory controls. Excellent project management skills in order to manage multiple security assessments and changing priorities, simultaneously. Strong personal discipline and effective time management. A strong hands-on technical background in the area of network security controls, including firewall and router security configuration, and at least two years experience with operating system security for any of the following platforms: Windows, NT/2000/2003, UNIX, Netware, Middleware, Lotus Notes, Oracle/SQL databases. Strong analytical skills in order to resolve complex security vulnerabilities and provide mitigating controls. Strong personal discipline and effective time management Certification Required CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Information Systems Security Control Consortium (ISC2) Additional, desirable certification Successful completion of ISO27001 Lead Auditor training MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
