TECHNICAL SERVICES AND SALES MANAGER - Position is located in Charleston, SC.
An international company in the food packaging industry is looking for a TECHNICAL SERVICES AND SALES MANAGER.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- as member of the Account Management team (Technical Service, Sales and Customer Service) provides the customer with pre and post sales technical support to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Solve technical queries from customer on product specifications and applications, advise on suitability of product or recommend a more suitable alternative.
- Provide to the quality control manager technical feedback from the customer relating to quality control and production such that product quality is enhanced on the basis of continuous improvement.
- Arrange for and conduct product and application training for the customers in the effective use of the products.
- Regularly meet with other members of the Account Management Team to discuss and develop tactical sales plans, new potential business and resolve common problems.
- Produce a monthly report to provide information on performance, highlights and lowlights, competitor activity, internal and external problems with suggested solutions and ideas for new business and products.
- Expand customer base, identify how to enter new markets, examine profitability of customer and improve return on investment by working with Sales Manager.
-Manage day-to- day sales at assigned key accounts and build relationships with customers and potential business associates to promote company and its products.
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Polymer Plastics Technology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent AND minimum of 5 plus years experience in technical services/selling and maximim of 7 years. Candidates with other similar experience in packaging industry will be considered.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Extensive travel in the US will be necessary.
Salary $60K
