Colliers Turley Martin Tucker has an immediate need for a Technical Support Analyst to work within its’ IT Services helpdesk function. The position supports PCs in a standardized corporate environment on a Microsoft XP platform with local and remote users.
Qualified candidates must have 3+ years experience in a fast-paced, corporate helpdesk environment. Supporting such functions as: installing, configuring and troubleshooting software/hardware on desktop/laptops deployed in a Microsoft network environment (Windows XP, Exchange, MS Office XP/2003, and Active Directory). Must be familiar with using a helpdesk ticketing system to input, track and monitor assigned ticket queue from initiation to resolution. Candidate must have exceptional customer service skills, be well organized, dependable, and able to effectively communicate to users and management. The candidate must be self-motivated, work well in a team environment, possess a professional demeanor with good written and verbal communication skills and efficiently manage their time. They must be available to work during business, evening and weekend hours as required with minimal overnight travel to remote offices.
· Support desktops, laptops, PDA’s, and peripheral equipment (Experience with Blackberry and Goodlink technology is a plus).
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software problems over the phone and remotely diagnose utilizing remote control tools (i.e. VNC).
· Troubleshoot Windows Active Directory account issues and support end-user network functions (i.e., security permissions, printers and file system issues).
· Working knowledge of internet/network concepts to effectively troubleshoot issues (i.e. basic LAN/WAN connectivity issues).
· Work with Server Management and vendors to assist in troubleshooting issues and know when to escalate request to the appropriate functional team.
· Recover data from hard disk drives and/or perform data migrations as required.
· Knowledge of data backup processes (Veritas experience preferred).
· Process incoming requests, monitor/update open tickets, document issues/resolutions, and author Knowledge Base solutions using a helpdesk tracking system (experience with Track-It is a plus).
· Manage, store, and track PC inventory for assigned offices.
· Setup and support audiovisual equipment for company meetings.
· Install and image new computer systems (experience with GHOST imaging is a plus).
· Industry certifications (i.e., MCP, A+) or Bachelors degree is preferred.
