Business Process Experience
Preferred:



The
Technical Support Engineer is responsible for assisting internal and external
customers with the software builds (test & production) on virtual &
production machines, software upgrades, and other technically oriented
support activities.



 



 



Scope & Responsibility:


 



·        
Support
Development and Test teams by running and deploying product builds in the
test environment(s)


·        
Supports
Post Sales and Implementation teams  by
running and deploying production builds for external clients


·        
Manage
virtual servers and test environments


·        
Manage
technical aspects of production environment


·        
Assist
with integration and system testing


·        
Ensure
proper updates are made to technical documentation that affect or enhance technical
support


·        
Provide
technical support for any software, application, file or databases that
affect the company’s core software deliverables


 



Background/Experience Required:



 


·        
2
years of experience in Tier II customer support/capturing and responding to
issues via remote tools and in-person contact


·        
2
– 4 years of experience in technical support and research in a Windows Server
environment or data center


·        
1
year of experience in software testing


·        
Knowledge
of relational databases and virtual servers


·        
Knowledge
of data center power usage


·        
2
years of SQL and minor programming experience


·        
2
years of experience with data migrations and software installations


·        
Experience
using Windows IIS (internet Information Services) for building and
maintaining websites


·        
Flexible,
quick starter, ability to work with minimum direction managing multiple tasks


 


·        
Scripting
skills, InstallAware or any MS build experience is optional


.



Education Required:



Associates Degree with applicable
experience / Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other Technical
Discipline
