Thomson Reuters eXimius is an integrated front office platform for private bankers and high net worth wealth managers. At the heart of the system is a portfolio management and CRM system, these are supported by other modules including order entry, document management and client reporting. Thomson Reuters eXimius is developed on the latest technology and excels at benchmarking, performance/risk management and compliance. Thomson eXimius is extremely flexible and is typically customized to many aspects of a customer's workflow including data gathering and integration with back office and custodial systems, OMS and integration with other front office systems. Thomson eXimius can be deployed at customer site or in a hosted environment. The goal is to gain leadership in your domain and play a key role in the expansion of Thomson Retuers eXimius in North America.

The Thomson Reuters Technical Support Engineer will use their deep product and workflow knowledge to guide customers in support of their live eXimius system. In this role, the successful applicant will:
- Work closely with customers in the analyzing of their business processes, recommending best industry practices and in adapting Thomson eXimius to meet their workflow.
- Work closely with the Professional Services in the technical design and installation of Thomson Reuters eXimius. This includes technical advice on connectivity between Thomson eXimius and other customer systems such as back office or custodian systems.
- Have the ability to demonstrate technical industry best practice.
- Deliver technical consultancy to our customers during Post-implementation support.
- Manage the support of our product at customer site.
- Provide hands on support as needed including but not limited to defining and installing Windows Server 2003 IIS/Database/Backup Configurations, Write Stored Procedures and SQL statements, MSMQ, NDM, limited scripting in Perl or .NET.
- Provide nighttime support for our ASP one week per month.
As the ideal candidate, you are successful at combining your technical knowledge of the wealth management industry with your passion for partnering with clients to provide value-added solutions. You use high standards, work proactively and are drive by results.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the technical support of enterprise implementations of software solutions in the financial services industry.
- Prior development experience and ability to plan and execute tasks in the following disciplines: MS Windows 2003 Server; MS SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Transact SQL Programming, Basic DBA Skills, Set-up, configuration, backup, restores, security); MS IIS 6.0 & Security; MS Active Directory; Networking Basics; COM Methodology (Component Object Model); Good conceptual knowledge regarding technical architecture topics such as: DMZ zones, internal and external networks, load-balancers, fail-over clusters, SANs, RAID levels, disaster recovery, etc.
- Experience in financial services industry and knowledge of investment management, capital markets and/or money markets
- Knowledge of portfolio management, order management, performance measurement and attribution, financial and strategic asset allocation, relationship management and client reporting a plus.
- Prior technical support or consulting experience is an asset.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to demonstrate technical solutions to both large and small audiences.
- Understanding of Wealth Management back office systems and data flows a plus.
- Proactive and results driven, able to operate as a self starter.
- A track record of further learning in technical specialties such as security and networking a plus.
- Team player; flexible; detail oriented; customer focuses
- Ability to frequently travel across the Americas with occasional trips to the UK/Europe. Must have valid passport.
- Degree in IT or equivalent through experience.
- NET experience a plus
- MSMQ messaging and/or IBM MQ Series (messaging); MSCS (Microsoft Clustering)
- Any Certifications Required: MS SQL Cert a plus
