Position Summary: Technical Support Specialist to maintain and develop patient centric Self-Service Kiosk and Online Solutions for healthcare industry based on the diverse requirements. Technical Support Specialist will work directly with customer to understand the problem, and retrieve complex known solutions using available systems, tools, and resources to resolve the customer’s problems. Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for developing or collaborating with a Solution Engineer to develop the problem isolation, solution creation, and solution implementation plan defined by the Incident Management Process (IMP) to help resolve the customer’s problem. When appropriate, the Technical Support Specialist will perform additional troubleshooting activities, escalate problems to the appropriate party(s), and assist in communicating the solution to the customer. The number and type of systems and customers supported will be dependent on the candidate’s technology, product knowledge, and project management skills. Key Areas of Responsibility: Analyze various software related issues and provide appropriate feedback to the project managers and customer. Customer Facing: Need to interact with the customer for all software issues. Software Construction - Construct software as per requirements and design while maintaining adherence to source/build control procedures and coding standards and change management procedures using Microsoft development tools – Visual Studio. Maintain, develop and execute software test plans, procedures, test applications and test cases. Diagnosing, isolating, and implementing remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code, using knowledge of system characteristics and utilizing software based system maintenance and tracking tools. Analyze, design and implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance and reusability. Basic Requirements: Minimum 3 years of n-Tier development on .NET, Java platform and windows based applications. 2 years of experience in developing ASP.NET applications using C#.NET, JavaScript and AJAX technologies. 2 years of experience in developing Java applications using Flex, Action Script Programming skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 stored procedures, triggers and complex SQL queries. Programming, OOA, design patterns and application development experience. SOA, Web Services, SOAP, SQLXML on .Net platform. Experience with .NET security model and developing ActiveX controls. Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Web Services, Tomcat, Eclipse. Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred. Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of HL7 message types, trigger events, data types a plus. Exposure to Hospital, Practice Management and EMR Healthcare Information Systems from different vendors a plus. Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to evaluate technical options and make decisions. Any certifications are a plus.
