Responsibilities:
Manage the operation of a networked multi-user Microsoft ACCESS program database. Exercise principal responsibility for ACCESS processes and functions as needed. Develop and execute database queries and compile reports as required. Interact with external organizations to receive and provide data in an accurate and timely manner. Oversee computer hardware and software technical support for IBM compatible notebook computers. Oversee the annual selection of notebook computer. Oversee the maintenance of the notebook computer inventory. Attend new class orientations, distribute computers and communicate IT policies to program participants.
Qualifications:
Associate degree required, baccalaureate degree preferred with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a computer related field required. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Excel and MS ACCESS including maintaining ACCESS databases in a networked, multi-user environment. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills and project management experience as well as a demonstrated ability to work as a team member. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to partner colleges. VB programming skills are desirable. Hardware and software expertise with IBM compatible computers running Windows XP and Vista operating systems is preferred.
Contract-funded position with on-going employment contingent upon contract terms & continuance.
