Technical Trainer
This position provides the Global Service Organization with a dedicated technical training specialist for all products sold by a particular Business Area. The holder of this position is responsible for ensuring that effective training is planned, delivered and sustained for all products within their portfolio. They will also be expected to behave in a way likely to enhance the Company's reputation for providing 'caring, effective and long-term product support'. Compliance with all company polices, procedures and guidelines is essential at all times.
- Writing/Validating Service Manuals - Working with the Research & Development Technical Publications Team to write and/or validate Service Manuals detailing a product's technical specifications and servicing arrangements.
Writing/Validating Technical Bulletins - Writing and/or validating documents detailing changes to products' technical specifications or servicing arrangements or facilitating Corrective Action programs.
Creating Technical Training Course Material - Producing all training materials required to teach suitably qualified technical students to: (1) Operate the equipment. (2) Meet Preventive maintenance requirements. (3) Provide Corrective Maintenance (4) Design and complete an Installation.
Preparing Technical Training Courses - Completing all administrative aspects of course preparation and delivery including: Making enrollment, venue, accommodation, travel and subsistence arrangements. Ensuring documentation and equipment availability. Making set-up, break-down and classroom tidying arrangements.
Delivering Technical Training Courses - Providing and delivering all above training elements as required.
Recommending Potential Revenue Generation Opportunities - Continually assessing potential opportunities to generate additional service income from the provision of above training.
Other duties as required
- This flexi time appointment may require shift work or participation in an on-call rotation.
- International and Domestic Travel may be required but will not exceed 40% per annum.
- A recognized degree in a related subject.
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 5 years Technical Support or Field Service experience in a Medical field.
- Previous experience as a Technical Trainer is desirable.
- Previous experience providing international Technical Support is desirable.
- Previous experience as a hospital BioMed is desirable.
