POSITION SUMMARY:
A specialist in writing, editing, and formatting all written materials, to include project reports, minutes, technical manuals, presentations and related materials. Specialized knowledge and experience in Healthcare, including Medicaid and/or CHIP.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes, but are not limited to the following:
1. Write, edit, and standardize all project written materials and manuals.
2. Prepare program presentations working with management staff.
3. Attend meetings as needed and prepare meeting minutes and summaries.
4. Edit and prepare project work products for review by management.
5. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Working knowledge of the Medicaid and/or CHIP program.
2. Requires attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.
3. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning, spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
4. Proficient with desktop publishing software, and MS Office products.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program and at least five (5) years working experience, primarily centered upon technical writing and editing; or a Master’s degree from an accredited program and at least three (3) years working experience primarily centered upon technical writing and editing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands/finger, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
