RiverPoint Group is looking for a skilled Technical Writer for a contract opportunity located in downtown Chicago, IL. The candidate will assist in re-writing product material (User Guides, Brochures, Help Content (online help content).

The candidate will be responsible for or participate in:

* Organizing material and write descriptive copy according to standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology

* Working with Subject Matter Experts to understand and validate documented procedures

* Perform a variety of development, design, formatting, writing, and editing of documents.

* Reviewing manuscripts for logic and clarity of expression, and rewrites phrases without changing original meaning

* Researching information about the product by interviewing subject-matter experts and using the product, including using the web to get background information.

* Developing user manuals, system design documents, system requirements.

* Working directly with the end users to get and give the information needed; customer service.

* Informing the Project Manager about project status, issues or concerns
