Technical Writer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:    
Responsible for documenting the system as developed and for training end users for a newly implemented TeleTech business intelligence application being rolled out on a client by client basis.  Support rollout to clients per project plan.                                                                                                                                                  

  • Train end-users using completed documentation and function as an advocate role for the product.  This role will serve as the feedback liaison between the users of the product and the product development team.

  • Write user documentation using business requirements documents (BRD), user interface design documents, application testing documents, use cases, and the application itself Liaison with identified client program SMEs, business analysts, GUI designers, and system developers Contribute to the development of program conventions and template design.                                            

  • Maintain documentation control  for each project within the program

  • Use the application to develop the instructions for the user documentation.

 
Job Specifications:
  • BS in technical communications or equivalent technology degree

  • Experience documenting web-based systems for end users

  • Experience training and supporting end-users

  • Exposure to KPI or Business Intelligence processes or systems

  • Senior level writing experience working independently to meet deadlines and proactively resolve issues

  • Software testing and user documentation experience

  • Experience in front-end application/GUI analysis for usability

  • Experience writing in large corporate environments

  • Advanced writing software skills including MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
