Status: Temporary - 4 to 5 month position

Summary: Primary responsibilities:

• Works in a manufacturing environment to translates engineering documentation, personal observations and interviews with engineers, technicians and operators to generate detailed assembly procedures.


• Work onsite, interviewing subject matter experts and using Microsoft Word to
  write, edit, and produce procedures and work instructions for a large ISO
  9000 documentation set.


• Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet software is important, as is the proven ability to take direction well and be a cooperative, positive team member.


• Above-average written and verbal communication skills, a track record of
  meeting deadlines, and the ability to handle all aspects of a documentation
  process are vital.


• Acquires or verifies knowledge of subject by interviewing workers engaged in developing a new product, observing procedures, referring to engineering drawings and notes, technical bulletins, manuals, or similar publications

General skills and experiences required include:

·         Experience in creating service documentation and user documentation

·         Excellent computer skills

·         Experience in working within a regulated environment

·         Ability to interface with process engineers and other subject matter experts

·         Ability to work under minimal supervision and under tight deadline pressure

·         Must be a proven team player

·         Must have good communication skills

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelors degree in a related field, preferred. Minimum 3years experience of writing in a technical environment.
