Our Client, located in Burlington County, NJ, is looking for a Proposal Coordinator. Interested candidates should refer to the following job description:
The candidate should have experience with and shall perform the following duties:
• Analyzes requests for proposals, develops, and produces responses to requests for proposals, facilitates part or all of the proposal effort, ensuring that client's requirements are fully met. This involves conducting searches for appropriate materials and writing sections of the proposal with the highest quality standards.
• Participating with project managers in the selection and recommendation of appropriate project scope to be included in the proposal, according to the request for proposal (RFP).
• Proofreading, editing, and standardizing proposal text for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension, style and format.
• Ability to write and edit project summaries, scope, and other supporting materials.
• Coordinating with designers to ensure that required graphics are produced to the proposal specifications and are ready to be included in the submittal.
• Performing other related duties such as involvement in special projects, assistance with creating marketing materials, and attendance at various meetings or functions.
• Ability to understand legal terminology as it relates to contract terms and conditions.
• Comfortable speaking to management at all levels, both internally and externally, and possessing strong presentation skills.
• Experience with common concepts, practices, and procedures within the desktop publishing field. Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Illustrator and Photo Shop; all within the Windows operating system.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related major plus 5 years relevant experience in an Engineering firm or similar technical environment. A candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and the relevant experience would also be considered.
The successful candidate will have excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition, as well as oral communication and interpersonal skills. The job also requires excellent organizational skills and ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines and the high consequence of errors which may result in the loss of considerable revenue to the firm. The job requires flexibility in schedule to meet client needs.
Candidate must also possess strong research skills and a proven ability to translate complex concepts into a narrative that can be understood by non-technical readers.
