Technical Writer/Trainer/Project Coordinator

Job Title:  Deployment Analyst



Job Description:  The Deployment Analyst is responsible for the execution of deployment activities within a project team to support the deployment of OIM (Office of Information Management) products and services.


 


Deployment Analysts will work on small to intermediate scale projects, participating in project planning and status meetings, identifying deployment risks, and providing deployment updates and materials according to plan and/or stakeholder feedback.   Deployment Analysts will provide assistance to Deployment Senior Analysts or Deployment Managers for large scale projects, where appropriate. 


 


Role Specific Responsibilities:


•           Collect deployment requirements (e.g. timing, audience, communications, training, etc.) from project team members


•           Assist in developing the deployment plan, which includes the overall deployment approach


•           Identify potential risks to meeting the deployment requirements and timing


•           Develop and execute deployment communication plans, including stakeholder analysis


•           Develop and deliver deployment materials to member firms, which could include communications and learning materials


•           Assist with the delivery of learning to internal groups, which could include facilitation, planning and logistics management


•           Work with Product Management team to transition ongoing deployment support and maintenance activities


•           Provide consultation to stakeholders around incorporating deployment best practices into processes and deliverables


•           Develop and/or maintain internal intranet sites with information relevant to a particular software release


•           Understand and apply published guidelines to work product development (e.g., using templates, applying specific brand elements)


•           Work with stake-holders to produce, review, update, and obtain sign-off on materials produced.


•           Work with internal creative services professionals as needed in the creation of PowerPoint presentations and/or training collateral.


 


Knowledge Sharing / Documentation


•           Actively participate in continuous improvement by contributing suggested practices, lessons learned, etc.


•           Develop and demonstrate an understanding of OIM processes, standards & methodologies


 


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelors Degree         


 


Years of Experience:


1-3 years experience in a professional/client services capacity, emphasizing communication, documentation, learning, and general business analysis


 


 


 


Technical Skills:


•           Ability to create learning materials (familiarity with tools such as Articulate, RoboHelp, PowerPoint helpful)


•           Ability to translate technical concepts into various forms of documentation


•           Instructional design and technical writing


•           Experience with/Knowledge of  the system development lifecycle    


•           Ability to publish content online using in-house tool (training will be provided)    


 


Other Qualifications:


•           Ability to operate under minimal supervision, with virtual interaction


•           Ability to understand the value of IT solutions within the context of the business environment


•           Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures and personalities in a virtual environment


•           Excellent presentation and facilitation skills


•           Demonstrated client service skills and appropriate use of escalation paths


•           Ability to work virtually within a globally distributed team
