POSITION SUMMARY:
Conducts, evaluates and reports results on experiments in a technical area and may assist in data interpretation. May develop and issue reports on simple procedures and/or experiments as assigned. Maintains required documentation in accordance with established procedures. Requests and maintains equipment and supplies necessary for completion of assignments and may write and maintain procedures for equipment operations and processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
'Perform sampling using approved methods for analytical and microbiological testing, including metal detector verifications, raw material testing, and Vitamin C testing.
'Input test results into appropriate databases and ensure sampling, testing, and records are complete for product shelf life sensory evaluations.
'Complete Robinson and/or Sniff tests for packaging.
'Set up daily sensory table and complete tabulations.
'Perform GMP audits and pre-operational inspections.
'Represent QA team on designated MBU.
'Lead consumer complaint investigations and develop action plans.
'Schedule annual risk assessment reviews.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of work experience as a Quality and/or laboratory technician preferred.
SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Must have good communication and organizational skills. Attention to details a must.
